Why stores don't sell
Traffic is only half the job.
Checkout
Carts get abandoned.
Most shoppers who add something to their cart leave without paying. Without a reminder, that sale is gone.
Trust
Shoppers aren't sure it's safe.
An unfamiliar payment page, unclear delivery costs or no reviews, and people close the tab.
Admin
Every order means manual work.
Copying addresses into courier sites and answering "where's my order?" eats the time you should spend selling.

Choosing a platform
Shopify or WooCommerce?
We build on both. Here's how we help clients choose.
| Shopify | WooCommerce | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Most new and growing stores that want to launch fast and run it themselves | Businesses already on WordPress, or with unusual products and rules |
| Monthly cost | A Shopify plan fee, paid monthly | No platform fee, but you pay for hosting and plugins |
| Looking after it | Shopify handles security and updates | Needs regular updates and backups |
| Local payments | PayFast, Yoco and others through apps | PayFast, Yoco, Ozow and others through plugins |
| Our usual advice | Our default for most clients | A strong choice when WordPress is already in place |

Questions
Questions about online stores
How much does an ecommerce website cost in South Africa?
A basic template store can cost a few thousand rand, while a custom store with payments, delivery and product setup done properly usually starts from around R25 000. Our store builds start from R28 500, with a fixed quote before we start. Shopify also charges its own monthly plan fee.
Shopify or WooCommerce: which is better for a South African store?
For most stores we recommend Shopify: it's quicker to launch, secure out of the box, and easy to run yourself. WooCommerce suits you if you already have a WordPress site, need unusual customisation, or want to avoid a monthly platform fee. We'll recommend one on the call, and we build on both.
Can you set up PayFast, Yoco or Ozow?
Yes. We set up South African payment gateways such as PayFast, Yoco and Ozow, test real transactions before launch, and make sure the right emails go out for every order.
Can you move my existing store to Shopify?
Yes. We move your products, customers and order history where the platforms allow it, and redirect your old web addresses so you keep your Google rankings.
How long does it take to build an online store?
About six weeks for most stores, depending on how many products you have and whether your photos and descriptions are ready. If you want to launch before a sale like Black Friday, start at least eight weeks ahead.
Do you set up subscriptions and memberships?
Yes. We set up recurring payments for subscription boxes and memberships, plus automatic reminders when a card fails, so renewals don't quietly lapse.
Ready for a store that sells?
Five questions, one 20-minute call, and a fixed quote within two working days.
